How EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) Works
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), often called “tapping,” is a gentle and evidence-based approach that helps reduce emotional distress, release limiting beliefs, and support physical well-being. It combines elements of modern psychology with the ancient wisdom of acupressure.
During an EFT session, clients lightly tap with their fingertips on specific acupressure points on the face and upper body while focusing on a particular issue—such as stress, anxiety, pain, or a difficult memory. This process helps calm the body’s stress response, balance the nervous system, and reprogram emotional patterns at a deep level.
Research shows that EFT can lower cortisol (the stress hormone), improve emotional regulation, and create lasting shifts in how people think and feel about challenging experiences.
By combining mindful awareness with physical touch, EFT helps the mind and body work together to restore balance, resilience, and emotional freedom.
